RAMCIP meets in Thessaloniki

The seventh plenary meeting of the RAMCIP project was held in Thessaloniki, Greece, on 22-23 May 2017, hosted at the premises of the Information Technologies Institute (ITI), in the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH). During this meeting, the RAMCIP partners presented their advancements and progress with respect to the previous meeting. Specifically the project’s technical developments both concerning the algorithms, and the hardware components that are planned to be integrated on the second version of the RAMCIP robot were presented. The project partners gave a visit to the CERTH/ITI smart house that is being prepared to host the project’s upcoming review, before the start of the pilot tests.

Alongside, a technical integration meeting was held, where all technical partners had the opportunity to intensively work together, to incorporate the new hardware for the V2 hand on the RAMCIP robot. Through this technical meeting, the roadmap was set for the project’s integration efforts that will allow the V2 of the RAMCIP robot to be ready for the project’s pilot tests, planned to start during the last months of 2017.

The sum of the previously mentioned progress allowed further discussions concerning final integration steps between different software and hardware components, as well as on the future project directions and exploitation actions.
